Visiting Google and California – Trip #1
I went to California for Google’s annual Ski Trip, and stayed on afterwards to work at the Googleplex with the Usability team.
Afterwards I went up to Bellingham, WA to see my good friend Brandon. He’s going back to school to study forestry and when he showed me around Larabee State Park he seemed to fit right in! We climbed a hill and at the top was a pond called Fragrance Lake.
It was cold and shady, and the mud was crunchy with frost. The water was calm and reflected the forest on the far side. I hadn’t seen anyone from Tanglewood in over a year, so it was great to see Brandon, we had much catching up to do, stories to tell.
